New Beginning: Bridge House College Resumes For 2017/2018 Academic Session
2017/2018 Academic Session at Bridge House College commences in full swing! Newly admitted students resumed on Monday, 11th September, 2017.
The principal of the college, Mrs. U.V Emeanu in her welcome address to the new and returning students, urge students to take advantage of Bridge House’s world class facilities and distinctive university preparatory scheme to their best use.
She said, “The struggle to get into Nigeria’s Pre-eminent Sixth Form College is over; here you are now as students of this esteemed institution. Bridge House College will provide you with all the essential tools and skills to help you achieve your optimum potential and become success stories in life. It’s therefore up to you to make the best of your stay here from this day.”
Mrs. Emeanu stressed that the college’s zero tolerance for indiscipline and especially the use of illicit drugs is unswerving. She charged students to focus on their primary objective at Bridge House while adhering strictly to the College Rules and Regulations.
The session started with a power-packed one week Orientation Programme which included several Seminars, Talk Session, College Policy Review, Subject Counseling, Games etc.
Renown Speakers, Professionals from various fields and Ex-Bridge House Students were invited to talk to students – “a charge to greatness” as described by the Head of Counselling, Mrs. Olabisi Banjo.
The speakers included Mr. Oladele Olunike, QP, Barr. Kola Sogelola, Barr. Damilola Wright (BHC Alumnus), Dr. Olaoye among others.
One of the newly admitted students, Bashir Lawal, who aspires to become a terrific entrepreneur focusing majorly on Agriculture in Africa, in an interview said “What i have learnt at the Orientation Programme in the past couple of days here is remarkable. I now have a clear goal and target, a sense of direction and a monumental drive to achieve my goal.” He added, “My goal at Bridge House is to make A’s in all the subjects i’ll be taking and also to get into a university that best suits my desire.” Bashir is a graduate of The Regent Secondary School, Abuja and currently running the Bridge House College 1-Year University Founday Programme.
Over 60 of some of the finest Secondary Schools in Nigeria are well represented . No doubt these young ambitious students are up for a terrific life changing experience!
