
2021 World Art Day: BHC Virtual Art Display
World Art Day is a celebration to promote the development, diffusion and enjoyment of art was proclaimed at the 40th session of UNESCO’s General Conference in 2019, World Art Day is celebrated on Leonardo da Vinci’s birthday on the 16th April to honour the artist. ” Each year, on 15 April, World Art Day celebrations help reinforce the links between artistic creations and society, encourage greater awareness of the diversity of artistic expressions and highlight the contribution of artists to sustainable development. It is also an occasion to shine a light on arts education in schools, as culture can pave the way for inclusive and equitable education.” UNESCO In line with the celebration of world art day 2021, the University Foundation Art Students in collaboration with Bridge House College Art Department have put together some of their finest work to present this Virtual Art Display. Without art nothing would excite the senses, the world would be grey and void.
